In Chapter 7 of Copywriting 101: What Was That Number Again?, we talk about the legendary comedy sketch, “Who’s On First” by Abbott & Costello.
I remember an episode of a sadly short-lived TV series called Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip where one of the characters was completely dumbfounded when he discovered that his old-school father was so thoroughly devoid of humor that he wasn’t aware of this foundational piece of comedy.
“Who’s On First” was first performed for a national radio audience on March 24, 1938. It remains a classic to this day.
